District welcomes new
staff
School officials welcomed Fonda-Fultonville's newest staff
members during an orientation meeting on Tuesday, August 26.
District Superintendent Dr. James Hoffman, Board of Education
President Rod Simonds, building principals and school staff took
a moment to introduce themselves to the district's nine new
employees. The group spent the day familiarizing themselves with
the buildings and district procedures in preparation the first
day of school.
The employees fill vacancies left by retirees and
resignations, or new positions created when the district decided
to reduce costs by bringing several BOCES students back to
district.
Dr. Hoffman greeted the group and led them through brief
introductions. Mr. Simonds
reflected on his time in the district as a student and a teacher
saying, "I believe this is the finest school district in the
area."
