Learn more about the budget and our district
Superintendent Dr. James Hoffman and five Board of Education
members presented the proposed 2010-11 district school budget to
community members at the annual budget hearing on Monday, May
10.
Dr. Hoffman highlighted improvements in student performance, the
decline of state funding for education, and steps the board has
taken to spend less in '10-'11 than last year.
"Our achievement is up and our budget is down and we're
expanding our programs," said Dr. Hoffman. "In spite our
progress, we are concerned about the following year. We
anticipate further aid cuts in 2011-12. This budget is the first
step toward addressing that hurdle."
