We will continue using Saxon Math in fourth grade.

Your child will complete a daily lesson and a guided practice worksheet (Side A). It is expected that your child follow along while I go over answers. I write all of the answers to Side A on the board. He/she is expected to copy the answer, and the steps in finding the answer, on the guided practice sheet.

Your fourth grader will have a green math notebook. We record important information from our daily lesson in this notebook. This should be taken home each day to be used as a reference for the homework. The notebook must come back to school daily for the next lesson.

Side B of the guided practice is your child's homework. Homework is designed to be a practice of the daily lesson and previous lessons that have been taught. It is expected that your child complete the entire sheet. If your child has a difficult time on a question, it is important that an attempt to find an answer is shown. Then, circle the question number, and I will assist him/her the next day.
