The Last Dragon Comes to F-F Elementary
 The
elementary students were thoroughly entertained by The Puppet
People's remarkable performance of "The Last Dragon". The puppet
play, which explores the themes of discrimination, stereotypes,
greed, and friendship, is based on a fairytale by E. Nesbitt.
The performance included a 7 ft. purple sequined dragon and a
life-sized knight on horseback who joust to a ticklish end. Good
triumphs over evil as the princess is saved from the evil
wizard. Following the performance, Michelle and Mark spent ten
minutes answering student questions and demonstrating how the
puppets worked. The performance was sponsored by the Character
Education Committee.

 The
Puppet People, who have visited our school before to perform the
"Bully Busters," are the husband and wife team of Mark Carrigan
and Michelle Smith-Carrigan. The duo creates all of the puppets
and sets. Future performances that are open to the public and
great for families include: "A Christmas Carol" on 12/14 at 5:00
PM at the City Center in Schenectady and 12/27/06 at 11:00 AM,
1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM at the Saratoga Springs Public Library. For
