Graduate Reminders 2008

For students who forget or families who want to know, here are the key upcoming dates for graduating students.

  • Friday, June 13—Senior Banquet, 6-11 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, Johnstown

  • Wednesday, June 25—Baccalaureate, 7 p.m. at the Fonda Reformed Church, Broadway, Fonda; Pizza will be served to all following the service.

  • Thursday, June 26—Awards Program, 6:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium

  • Friday, June 27—Senior Breakfast, 8:30 a.m. in the high school cafeteria

  • Friday, June 27— Mandatory Graduation Practice at approximately 10:30 (immediately after breakfast) in the high school auditorium. Note: ALL GRADUATES WHO WILL BE ON STAGE MUST ATTEND.

    • Graduation Tickets will be distributed at the graduation practice. You will receive six tickets (four reserved and two general admission). Any special accommodations must be discussed with Ms. Petterson prior to June 1, 2008. (Handicapped seating, wheel chair accessibility, etc.)

    • **June 2-6 you may sign up in the high school office for extra graduation tickets. Signing up does not mean that you are guaranteed to receive those tickets.** The list will be removed on June 6, 2008.

    • Graduate Panoramic Pictures taken following the graduation practice at approximately 12-12:30 p.m. Sign up in the high school office and pay Mrs. Phelps.

  • Saturday, June 28—Graduation, 1 p.m. Graduates report directly to the high
    school gym at 12 noon.

    • Please no loitering in the lobby or the auditorium. Doors open for seating at 12 noon.

    • All guests must be seating by 1 p.m. At 1 p.m. the doors close for the processional.

    • Guests arriving after 1 p.m. will have to wait to be seated until everyone in the processional is on stage and the candle holders have exited the auditorium.

    • Diplomas and awards will not be in the cover presented on stage, but
      will be issued in the hallway by the high school gymnasium following the
      ceremony. Seniors are asked to report to the high school gym
      immediately after the graduation ceremony.
