schedule. Also, you are advised to bring your own lock and to
keep your locker locked at all times to protect your school
materials and your personal belongings. You are also advised to
give a key or combination to Mrs. Hoffman or Mrs. Petterson in
the high school office, so that you can get into your locker if
you forget your key or combination. The school is not
responsible for lost or stolen valuables. You are strongly
advised to check valuables or cash in the high school office. Do
not deface your locker in any way. Students are responsible for
their assigned locker. Report all incidents of vandalism to the

If you find that you have to go into the middle
school area, you must obtain a pass from the high school office.

Phone Calls
Students may use the wall phone in the high
school office. Long distance calling is prohibited without the
use of a calling card. Calling home to be excused from school
will not be allowed. Please plan accordingly. All excuses for
legal appointments must be submitted in writing to the high
school office by 8:00 a.m. You must be academically eligible to
get a pass from study hall to use the phone!
Leaving Study Halls
With the exception of lavatory and locker
passes, students are not allowed to leave study halls without a
pre-signed pass. Passes to the office are to be issued on an
individual basis, taking into consideration that students may
use the phone during their lunch period. In addition, students
who are listed as academically ineligible or who are listed on
the “no pass list” may not leave study except for a 5-minute
lavatory pass.
Pre-signed Passes
Students who need to visit a teacher, make up a
test, get help, etc during a study hall period, may obtain a
pre-signed pass from that teacher prior to homeroom. You must
present this pre-signed pass to your study hall teacher and sign
out of study hall. Students must remain with teachers who sign
you out for the entire period. If a teacher is going to send a
student back to study hall, that teacher will call the study
hall supervisor with notification. You must UNDER NO

Lunch/Study Hall
Periods
Students should read their schedules and report
to the proper location.
Students with odd sections on their schedules
should eat first and go to study hall the second half of the
period. Students with even sections on their schedules should go
to study hall first and eat the second half of the period.
Students are assigned a specific section for
their lunch period and their lunch/study hall section. If you
are a lunch/study hall or a lunch duty supervisor, please make
sure your students are following their schedules. Do not make
revisions to your class lists without first checking the
students schedules and/or contacting the guidance office.
Homework Requests
In the event of a student absence, students
and/or parents who are requesting homework are asked to do so by
8:15 a.m. at the latest. If you request homework later than
8:15, your request will be printed on the afternoon absentee
sheet only.
Late Arrival
Students who arrive after the 8 a.m. bell are
tardy and must sign in at the high school office.
Students are expected to enter homeroom on time (by 8 a.m.).
Students must enter homeroom before the bell rings and should
not be permitted to enter when they are late unless they have
signed in at the office and received a late pass! Passes from
other in-school locations are not sufficient – students must
have a late pass from the high school office.
