Welcome Class of 2016!
It's a big step from the elementary school to middle
school—different teachers for different subjects, new cafeteria
workers, even a new principal!
To smooth the transition, the staff at Fonda-Fultonville Middle
School made a special effort to warmly welcome students and
parents of the Class of 2016 (that's right—2016!) during 5th
Grade Orientation on Thursday, August 28th.
Superintendent Dr. James D. Hoffman welcomed parents with a
light-hearted reminder that it is truly sobering when you
realize that you and your child are now old enough to begin
middle school. Principal Beth Donovan introduced each of the
teachers and support staff who briefly described the middle
school routine. Following the presentations, everyone moved on
to their homerooms and met their new homeroom teachers.
Thanks to everyone, especially the parents and students for
making this night successful. We look forward to seeing our
newest students on the first day of classes, Wednesday,
September 3rd.
