SADD gives students "food for thought"
During a recent lunch period in the high school
cafeteria, it was not your normal, run-of-the-mill lunch. This lunch
came with some extraordinary entertainment.
The members of Students Against Destructive
Decisions (SADD) presented a video that they had created to help
educate their peers about driving safely.
The nine-minute presentation was comprised of a
series of Public Service Announcements (PSA) edited together. The
PSA’s gave the students food for thought about the consequences of
drowsy driving, drunk driving, drug driving, talking on a cell phone
while driving, speed contests and other reckless acts.
SADD presented the video to principal Dave Halloran for his
input prior to showing it to the student body. After viewing the
presentation, he said, “I think this is good. It is right on target
for what our kids should be thinking about when they get behind the
wheel of a car.”
