David Ziskin announced his resignation as
Fonda-Fultonville High School principal effective September
13, 2007. He made the announcement at the Board of
Education's July 30, 2007 monthly meeting. The board
accepted his resignation with regret.
Mr. Ziskin has accepted a position with the
International Center for Leadership in Education as a Senior
Associate with the Successful Practices Network. The Center
runs in conjunction with the Bill and Melinda Gates
Foundation for Excellence in Education. Mr. Ziskin will be
coordinating training and professional development
activities for schools previously identified as innovative
by their state education departments.
This is a tremendous opportunity for Mr.
Ziskin, as he will now be working with innovative programs
run by schools nationwide. He will be at the forefront of
ground-breaking practices used by schools in this country,
and leading the way for changes to improve how schools
operate.
Mr. Ziskin has served as principal since
November 2005. We wish him great success in his new
endeavor, and will miss his strong, yet supportive hand at
the helm of our high school.
