The Fonda-Fultonville Central
School District Board of Education has established goals and
objectives for the 2005-2006 school year that continue a
broad-based philosophy which:
Supports excellence in
student achievement.
Focuses on the educational
gains and opportunities of the curriculum and student body.
Places emphasis on multi-year
planning.
Adopts a corporate model of
leadership and accountability.
Provides objectives that are
measurable and subject to continual review and improvement.
The Board will implement a
series of 1-3 and 5-year plans this year to address:
Facilities and maintenance,
including the building project.
General operations, including
food service, transportation and Board composition (number of
members).
Leadership team organization.
Instructional technology
infrastructure and software.
The Board intends to further
academic gains throughout the district, with a focus on:
An earlier start to college
and/or career preparatory experiences.
Articulation of the
curriculum K-12.
Enrichment and accelerated
programs.
SAT preparation.
Bringing closure to the
Environmental Education Preserve project.
Developing a more thorough
understanding of district performance through interpretation of
assessment results and student survey instruments.
